TAG TEAM'S REACH EXTENDS OVERSEAS TO BRAND NETWORK PLATFORMS

Celestial Pictures in China; Reality TV in UK; NDTV in India

Los Angeles, March 10, 2003 - Launched in late 2001, creative brand solutions company TAG demonstrates strong ties within the international television community, as announced prior to MIP-TV by President & Founder Tom Connor. Building on a five-year run of traveling to the international marketplace in Cannes to meet face-to-face with networks and channel executives who launch and re-launch television platforms, Connor and his seasoned team at TAG have continued to strengthen relationships and deliver on-air brand packages around the world.
"MIP really is the world's premier marketplace for the business of media brands," says Connor. "TAG is honored to have been selected by so many of our international friends to play a role in the success of their channels."
Three projects of note in markets outside the US are Celestial Movies, a Hong Kong-based movie channel recently launched by Celestial Pictures. The on-air identity package produced by TAG introduced mainland China to a line-up of programming built on the classic Shaw Brothers films, the world's most coveted Chinese-language film library. The on-air package showcased martial arts as an explosion of color and energy to create a vibrant identity for the network. Celestial Pictures is also a movie production company and TAG brought to life an animated version of their corporate logo that is being featured before all of their theatrical and DVD releases.
London-based ZoneVision also tapped TAG in late 2002 to re-brand Reality TV, its premier special-interest channel that showcases ZoneVision's broad-based reality programming. The project's primary objective was to create an identity with multi-national appeal. Bold yellow and black chevrons and jarring on-camera viewer reactions helped create a sense of urgency for Reality TV which is currently seen in five continents by over 27 million subscribers.
A third project, which is in the final stages of completion, is New Delhi Television (NDTV), a former producer of news content for Rupert Murdoch's STAR platform in India. NDTV hired TAG to brand two new 24-hour news networks it is launching in April Ð a Hindi-language channel and an English-language channel to be seen throughout India. TAG's unique partnership with NDTV matched TAG's skills in strategic thinking, creative direction, design and production management with NDTV's in-house expertise in animation and post production. An on-site team comprised of Anne White, Managing Director and Principal, and Jim Kealy, Creative Director of TAG spent seven weeks in New Delhi throughout the project designing the network's logo and visual identity and overseeing the creative direction of the on-air production.
"NDTV came to TAG with a unique proposition," states Anne White. "We saw it as an opportunity to create a powerfully collaborative 'one team' approach in launching the networks. There is nothing more rewarding to us, professionally and personally, than to find a way to become a part of a client's team, especially when each brings a diverse cultural and professional experience to bear on the project."
TAG is a Los Angeles-based creative brand solutions firm dedicated to helping clients achieve enduring relationships with consumers. TAG's seasoned team of marketing and design professionals combine strategic brand positioning with world-class creative to develop communications tools in multiple mediums including on-air, print, radio, and interactive media.
