LOS ANGELES - (November 1, 2004) Warner Brothers, Sony and the Hearst Argyle Station Group all called on TAG to create main titles for their new Fall season launches. “Center of the Universe” on CBS, syndicated shows “Life & Style” and “Pat Croce: Moving In” and news broadcasts nationally on Hearst Argyle Station such as WESH TV in Orlando all draw on TAG’s unique blend of strategy, design, and branding.
“It is so rewarding to work with shows and networks that truly appreciate both marketing strategy and creative strategy,” said Tom Connor, President and Founder of TAG. “Our mission is to communicate, and build a signature look that reflects the show creator’s goals and draws in the viewer. Main titles say a lot about the show and we and the networks are delighted with the results.”
CBS’s most anticipated new comedy, “Center of the Universe,” had its main title designed and animated by TAG. TAG produced this open in HDTV for the show’s production company, Warner Brothers, who previously worked with TAG on the main title for the WB’s “Run of the House” last year. The “Center of the Universe” open features live-action footage of the well-known cast revealed through the animated letters of the show’s logo, also designed by TAG.
Two new syndicated programs from Sony Pictures Television, “Life & Style” and “Pat Croce: Moving In,” chose TAG to create their main title and graphics packages. The “Life & Style” package blended urban time-lapse footage with contemporary stylized footage of the show’s young female hosts. “Pat Croce: Moving In,” features a graphic rendition of the bus used by host Pat Croce to travel the country while he makes house calls to help families work through their problems.
The Hearst Argyle Station Group also premiered a bold new look this fall designed by TAG for its news broadcasts in 24 markets around the US. TAG’s design for this news package will help Hearst maintain their leadership position in many markets while also providing a consistency in format that allows a great amount of graphics to be shared among stations from a central source.
In addition to main title work TAG also provided strategic positioning services for Buena Vista Television’s new talk show, “The Tony Danza Show,” which also premiered this fall.
