LOS ANGELES - (January 30, 2005) New
Delhi Television (NDTV), India's most successful
private news organization, chose TAG to brand
their newest channel venture, NDTV Profit. The network marks TAG's
third collaboration with NDTV, having previously
packaged two news networks with NDTV in 2003.
NDTV Profit is a 24-hour business
news channel distributed throughout India. It covers a wide
array of programming of appeal to business-oriented viewers. In
its first two weeks on the air it overtook its nearest rival, CNBC,
and Profit is now the most watched business news channel in India.
"NDTV has made an enormous impact
in India's television market with their cutting-edge, strategic approach
to delivering news," commented Tom Connor, President and Founder
of TAG. "We are proud to contribute to NDTV's success with our
strategic branding services." TAG designed the logo and network
packaging for NDTV Profit and, as with previous projects with NDTV,
final production was supervised by TAG on site in India. NDTV's in-house
team animated the launch package and continues to create new elements
from TAG's original designs.

us to quickly implement an effective package that stands out in the
market as being distinctively NDTV. "
Business News packaging is unique,
requiring absolute attention to screen architecture, creating an
efficient, yet flexible, template for legibly displaying quantities
of information. TAG creative director Jim Kealy worked very closely
with NDTV's Chakrabarti and Deepak Sharma to successfully organize
the information screen designs while maintaining a strong brand kinship
with NDTV 24/7, the network's English-language news channel. A series
of forward-moving triangles representing the trends found in business
was used as the underlying element throughout the package. A luminescent
blue palette was also employed to provide distinction from the main
network.
NDTV Profit is TAG's fourth channel
launch in India. In addition to three channel launches for
NDTV, TAG also launched Hungama, India's first Hindi kids channel
in Fall of 2004.
