Mainland China Witnesses the Rebirth of a Classic Film Library

In 2000, Celestial Pictures acquired the Shaw Brothers film library,
760 of the most beloved Chinese film titles ever made. Most of these films
have never been seen on television since their original theatrical release.
Sound like a good idea for a network? Well it is, and Celestial Movies was
born.
TAG was honored to have been chosen as one of the first branding companies to
play a role in the creation of mainland China's first 24-hour digital movie channel.
We designed the channel's logo, identity package, promo package, movie opens,
menus and network lower-thirds. The package is an explosion of color and energy
that emphasizes the icons of Martial Arts, drawing the viewer into a vortex of
mesmerizing action. With renewed interest in this classic library of films, Celestial
Pictures also chose TAG to bring their corporate logo to life in a poignant theatrical
movie open to be used on upcoming theatrical and DVD releases.
As the channel market in China continues to expand, TAG is proud to have played
a role in the launch of this exceptional channel.
