ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE

        Entertainment in India is larger than life, big, colorful, bold, energetic and passionate.  Entertainment stars can stop traffic and bring the streets to a halt just with rumors they may turn up somewhere and GECs top the ratings and provide the backbone of the major channel schedules.  Entertainment is the magnet which is bringing the world’s largest media companies to find partners among their Indian counterparts.

        TAG first worked in the entertainment area with UTV’s Hungama Kids channel in 2004 which was subsequently sold to Disney.  In 2005, we worked on a major project for Sahara One and in 2006 helped part of the Reliance Group launch its first FM Radio brand.  2007 saw our first project with NDTV’s Entertainment division, NDTV Imagine.  This was the most successful channel launch of the last five years and TAG’s work on it lead to three further projects with NDTV Entertainment, Lumiere, ShowBiz and the Imagine Film Company.

  1.   NDTV IMAGINE

When NDTV Imagine wanted to change the face of entertainment, they chose TAG to help them ‘Entertain and Delight’ the mainstream Indian audience.  The package was created around the idea that everyday life is transformed by the magical touch of great entertainment.  To ensure a truly Indian flavor, scenes were shot around the country and the gold squares from the Imagine logo were added to communicate the idea of transformation.  The package was wide-ranging, from IDs, holiday stings, menus, lower thirds and sponsors templates to print collateral, print advertising, the web homepage, cell phone splash page and a 90-second cinema ad. We want to recognize the work of Avijit Mitra, Head of On-Air at Imagine who was an exceptional partner on this project.  Our joint efforts helped Imagine launch into the #3 spot among GECs and #6 among all channels in only its second week on air.
