The TV News sector in India is as competitive as any in the world.  Of course, Indians love news, creating the huge demand that the news channels exist to satisfy.  Audiences are also used to seeing substantial amounts of information on-screen although its possible the limit has now been reached.  TAG began working on news in India when NDTV News decided to branch out of news production into the channel business and launch NDTV and NDTV 24/7 back in 2004.

        In just five years, so much changed and graphics generators such as VizRT are now at the heart of news reporting. They enable so many options that, typically, TAG will now provide overall design guidance for the channel information system and concentrate on the major moving elements of news packaging; IDs, promo opens and closes, menus and segment intros such as Sport, Weather and Business.

The Economic Times is India’s business bible and TAG was chosen to help bring the print brand to television and create a sister for the Times Group’s general news channel Times Now.  The package includes IDs, menus, logo development and more than 20 show opens ranging from the market coverage which is the bedrock of the channel to lifestyle shows such as ZigWheels and Technoholik.  For ET Now, business is not about figures, charts and ratios, its about how these are influenced by and affect real people.  This led to the idea of mixing imagery and graphics together in a high energy graphic style in keeping with the explosive pace of 21st century business.
